You can sign up for an excursion via the registration page. The costs are included in the registration fee.
For the excursion to the Efteling a surcharge applies.
For the excursion to the Efteling, La Trappe Brewery and Slot loevestein is a minimum number of participants required and a maximum number of places is available.
Slot Loevestein, Poederoijen
Slot Loevenstein is a beautiful and historic castle located at a strategic location at the confluence of the Maas and Waal rivers. As well as an important defensive bastion in the Hollandic Water Line, it also was used as prison for political prisoners, including the famous Hugo de Groot, the “father of modern international law”.

There is a tour with a (English) guide through the museum. Afterwards you can visit the museum yourself. The tour will take about 1 hour.
The excursion includes transport. The buses’ final destination upon their return is Eindhoven railway station.

La Trappe Brewery, Berkel-Enschot
Trappist beer is brewed by Trappist monks in monasteries to allow them to be self-sufficient. This type of beer is extremely popular in the low countries and 8 of the 14 Trappist breweries recognized by the International Trappist Association are located in the Netherlands or Belgium.
This excursion includes a tour through the brewery of La Trappe and a beer tasting.
The tour will take about 2,5 to 3 hours.
The excursion includes transport. The buses’ final destination upon their return is Eindhoven railway station.

De Efteling
One of the oldest theme parks in the world, the Efteling was founded in 1952 with a fairy-tale forest designed by renowned Dutch illustrator Anton Pieck. It is now the third most popular theme park in Europe with a wide number of rides and attractions around a fantasy and mythology theme. The excursion includes transport. The buses’ final destination upon their return is Eindhoven railway station.
The excursion to the Efteling includes transfer from and to the TU/e.

Van Abbemuseum
The Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven is one of the first public museums for contemporary art to be established in Europe. The museum’s collection of around 2700 works of art includes works and archives by Lissitzky, Picasso, Kokoschka, Chagall, Beuys, McCarthy, Daniëls and Körmeling. The museum has an experimental approach towards art’s role in society.
You can collect your ticket 22 May at the ticket office of the museum. Please mention your name and the PFMC conference, then you will receive your ticket.
There is no organized tour.

DAF Museum
DAF is a Dutch truck manufacturing company founded in Eindhoven in 1928. Over the years DAF has created a huge number of different vehicles, from trucks to military vehicles to racing cars.
A tour of the DAF Museum will take visitors from one surprise to the next. The inventiveness that has been characteristic for DAF vehicles from 1928 till the present day will even captivate visitors who have no special knowledge of the subject.

There is no organized tour.
